Miss Doll America 2003: Miriam Hillbourne
Miriam takes her state's motto, "She Flies With Her Own Wings." very seriously and has lived by it ever since she graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Aviation Technology. Miss Hillbourne has put her degree to use in her work as a helicopter pilot for Oregon State's Wilderness Search and Rescue Team. She has lived near the Cascade mountains all her life and appreciates both their beauty and danger. Miriam is happiest in the outdoors -- camping, hiking, rock climbing, or kayaking.
