Eighteen-year-old Tanya Preston grew up on a ranch in southern Texas. During her childhood, she groomed the family's horses and took care of the livestock, helping to develop her love and understanding of animals and giving her a sense of responsibility and independence. Tanya is talented at rope twirling, and takes pride in her skill at the unusual sport. She is currently in her first year of college at Texas A&M University and is majoring in fashion design. Tanya volunteers at local animal hospitals and shelters in her spare time.
